GDT 8/17/24: Braves @ Angels - Wake Up Bats

Murphy is hitting 8th. Serious question - why does snit think Murphy sucks so bad? Since ASB, he has a 133 wrc+. Even if you use whole season stats, he's still clearly better than guys he hits behind; he has a .320 xwoba and .709 ops, which isn't good, but better than 5 of our regular starts
 
I am really curious how they will manage the rotation going into the Phillies series. They have Wheeler/Nola/Sanchez liked up for us. We could go Fried/SS/Sale if we don't give an extra rest. Otherwise we are looking at Hill making a start in the series. I don't know when Lopez is supposed to come back but I rather his first start not be against Phillies. Nationals series after this is a good spot to get Hill a start and let Lopez face an easier lineup coming back from DL.

I wouldn't set up anything. We aren't catching them. After looking at the Mets' schedule, I feel the braves, padres, and dbacks are almost locks to be the WC

Factor in that catching the phillies likely does nothing for us playoff wise it really doesn't matter.
