I would like to think AA did everything he could to move Ozuna today.
They've evolved past it to a much more effective process of analyzing something near real time to decide when guys need a break. Innings limits are like counting RBI, while monitoring whatever they monitor is like calculating wRC+. Not sure what that is, but they do an outstanding job.
But, shouldn’t they have something that informs them when guys have a tendency to fall off and prepare accordingly?
Maybe. I honestly have no idea. What I do know is the Braves have far fewer pitcher injuries than most mlb teams, so whatever they are doing works.
