Braves are the only team in their division with a positive run-differential (+22), despite the narrow lead in the standings. The next closest team in RD is the last-place Zombie Expos (-3).

Braves are also second in the NL in RD to the Dodgers (+66).

I think it's clear. A healthy Braves teams is the 2nd best team in the NL. Sucks that Soroka went down.

I don't doubt that a healthy Braves team is much closer in true-talent to the Dodgers. Nonetheless, with ~half the season in the books, this is where the Braves are sitting, despite all the major injuries and inconsistencies—still the second best team in the NL, by RD, and the only team besides the Dodgers above +20 (though that's entirely thanks to tonight's game).

Could be better, but could be much worse. And Albies, Acuña, and—most importantly—Markakis all should return somewhat soon. Hamels lurks out there as a longshot. The Three Turds (TT) have all shown, to varying degrees, positive signs in the last week or so. So there's some Bowman for the second half of the season, as bad as it has looked at times.

Another year of the phillies being incredibly overhypee

If they actually had a bullpen they might be pretty good. That lineup is stacked, and their defense seems like it’s not a complete joke this time, despite Bohm’s performance last night. They have more than one starting pitcher too. Still have zero depth though.

Back In late July when I thought Kershaw would have lingering health issues, and the Braves had Soroka, Acuna, and Albies, the Braves May have been better than the Dodgers.

Now...the Dodger are pretty clearly the class of the NL. I’d still take the Braves at full strength over any other NL team though.

They went out and got Workman and Hembree from the Red Sox yesterday along with Hale from the Yankees the day before, so they have made an aggressive upgrade. Curious to see who the PTBNL is in the Red Sox deal to go along with Pivetta. I thought I read there was a rule on PTBNLs this year that they have to be someone from the 60-player pool. I might be wrong on that.

Looks like their going for one of those 7th and 8th WC spots.

I like Workman, but I don’t think neither Hale nor Hembree move the needle much.
