Really hope strider shows something tomorrow with the extra rest. If and Waldrep finish strong, it would take a huge sting out of this season

I fear that Strider's too damaged physically to produce at a winning level this year--maybe ever.

With only 17 starts and 1.5 fWAR? Seems pretty unlikely.

I know sports writers can be fickle, and don't always look at things like WAR as better indicators, but I would be super surprised if he won. At least if Collins and Baldwin continued playing like they have this year.

Collins has gone ice cold though, as predicted. He is 3 for his last 37 with a .356 OPS. Baldwin has cooled as well. He;'s still getting walking and hitting for a decent average, but he only has 3 XBHs in August. It doesn't help that we have a moron managing this team and keeps him out of the lineup 3 days a week.

Murphy had a big game. OPS for August only -8 RC now. I take issues with players who make Nick Allen look like a good hitter. Even Harris manages a 50 RC when he sucks.
