Not really, except the runner can advance as soon as the fielder touches the ball--not when the fielder gains possession.

I would put money on Strider for Cy Young if he doesn't **** the bed in any of his remaining starts. With anything close I think K/rate is what voters equate to dominance. With Striders huge lead on that stat I think he wins.

It's probably his to lose as long as he finishes strong. Being on the #1 or 2 seed and his K numbers probably give him the edge.

Would the Braves consider bumping Spencer back a day to start in Los Angeles instead of Colorado? It's vital the the Braves at least split with Los Angeles at the worst if they want a nice stronghold on Homefield advantage. Then while in Los Angeles, they can throw Strider, Fried, Morton, and Elder.

Every game is important and doing so might throw bad matchups against the Faillies. That said,yes I would. I want to make a statement this trip and step on the Dodger$ neck.
Ideally you would like to bring up Soroka for one game in Colorado. Option Shuster.
After game option Soroka and bring up AJSS or someone to cover 5th spot for 10-15 days. Then Wright should be ready or close.

Yeah, i think you need all 3 of Morton, Strider, and Fried going in LA. Having Elder, bullpen game/someone else, and 2 of them gives LA a real, real advantage to win that series. I think we need to split there at the very very worst case scenario. Takes off 4 games from the schedule and they gain nothing.
Right now, it has Fried, tbd, Elder and Morton scheduled there. I'd punt a game just to have Strider in there. Dodgers schedule other than a road series in Seattle is not that difficult the rest of the way.

The Braves are going to split that series.. the Braves are sweeping that series.. Dodger$ need to know a month of good play isn't enough to over take the king.

Braves usually play like dick in Los Angeles. I'll take a split and go on with the season. Anything from there is a bonus. The Dodgers are only 2 games above their expected W/L, so it's not like this is some fluke run from them. They're a really good team.

If he leads the world in Ks and Ws while being within 1 WAR of anyone else he probably wins it. MVP voters usually assign extra weight to things like that.
