GDT 8/27/22: Braves @ Cardinals - Acuña Overdid It

Really didn’t understand what the Braves medical staff was doing last night. Minter fell on the mound and nobody came and checked on him and Acuña got running the bases in a blowout and stayed in the game smh

Jackson up for Stephens (7 day IL - concussion), and Arcia at Gwinnett for rehab.

When Arcia is healthy, who goes down/DFA?

Any word on albies?

Rosters expand next month. I think only by 2 spots though. Will be interesting for sure.

I believe Albies can’t be activated until Mid-September. With Arcia starting rehab it looks like he’ll beat him back. When either is activated Adrianza is the first to go. When the other is activated I assume Tromp is optioned as I expect him to be activated September 1st.

Phillies are a real dark horse. Strong 1-2 SP, solid backend of the bullpen, and a very good lineup with Harper back. That’s a tough team to face in a 3 game wild card round.

I don't know the stats, but if feels like the braves are the worst team of all time getting a runner in from 3rd with 1 out

Olson, never attempt to move a runner from 2nd to 3rd with 0 outs bc that crap doesn't work for the braves... just swing for the fences

Yep, if they stay the 5 seed and we cant chase down New York, thats the team i wouldnt wanna face.

Soroka with 3 grounders in 3rd. Some of the hits in 2nd were grounders, so with Gwinnett defenders, maybe it wasn't as bad as the line looks. 2 walks are concerning though
