GDT 8/28/23: Braves @ Rockies - Albies Returns

Boo to Ozuna for running through a stop sign and getting himself thrown out, but credit to the Rockies for a pretty brilliantly executed relay throw. The throw home was exactly where it needed to be, and the catcher made the only tag he could have made to get Ozuna in time.

I think it was a fair gamble.

Ozuna went because they were razzing him for not taking second on the WP when Olson went to third.
 
It no longer matters up by 5, but the Braves platoon ONE spot in the lineup, and Snit managed to get the platoon advantage in that spot in 1 of 4 PAs. The game was close In 2 of the 3 times they didn’t have the platoon advantage.

These are the exact types of tactical mismanagement the Braves need to improve.
 
That’s twice in two days we have run through the stop and gotten called out at home. Wash and Snit gonna be giving someone a talking to, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him get a night off tomorrow. If not sent for a shower right now….. I know it happens a lot, but we need to start being locked in come October

Olson ragged on Ozuna but Ozuna had to make sure Olson actually went to third on a ball that didn't get that far away from the catcher. I'm not sure I blame Ozuna terribly given that circumstance.
