Weird that the anti braves old guard people are so invested in their disdain that they prop up a terrible GM.
I don't think Wren was terrible. But the people above him were.

Let me know when you can find me any changes Wren made in the International department during his tenure.

But I can show you where Wren wasn't allowed to rebuild and got fired for trying to fire Fredi.
See now those two claims are completely fair.
If you stuck to things like that it would be palatable despite wren being an awful GM. He had NOTHING to do with Acuna or Albies.

To be fair we got lucky on the Joc and Swanson hits.
I agree he was responsible for that contract.
You still have yet to give any thing Wren changed in the international department that was known for being one of the most successful in baseball for decades.
But sure, a guy with limited experience and no real job since unearthed potentially one of the best to ever play and another hall of fame type talent. Got it.

He's also the person responsible for signing Uggla, Kawakami, and Melvin and building a payroll strapped team that couldn't win its division with a farm system that didn't have a single MLB caliber rotation pitcher in it.
He was pretty much a loser.

Would have been tempted to pinch hit for Anderson in the fourth there, but I suppose with the tiny benches every team feels obliged to carry it's hard to start deploying pinch hitters in the fourth inning.
All of us were probably thinking along those lines. Hate to push those chips to the middle of the table that early in the game with a three run lead and two outs in the inning.
