Fried is 1st LHP for Braves to win 15 games since Glavine in 2002 according to DOB.

His line was changed on scoring change

After a scoring change (error charged to Freeman), Fried's line changed to 6 IP, 4 H, 4 R (3 ER), 1 BB, 11 K.

Fried has been excellent in the 2nd half. 3.01 FIP with a 10.92 K/9
 
Fried is so close right now. If he could ever have that change be a CONSISTENT usable pitch he will start pitching into the 7th inning consistently. He and Soroka will lead us into many deep postseason runs in the future.

Well you didn’t admit you were wrong about the thing you were just wrong about and you continue to find odd ways of attacking Josh Donaldson, so I’d say you aren’t very good admitting when you were wrong.

Fried looked good.

I hope that they think carefully about when to pull him in postseason, but I thought it was reasonable to let him try the 7th under circumstances tonight.

The guy looks like he will have a K/9 rate over 10 BB/9 rate under 3 and a GB rate over 50%

That is rarefied air and would be the only pitcher int he big leagues this year to accomplish this feat other than Strasburg/Corbin (Who are very close).

Do you guys even know the definition of opinion? Apparently not, like I said y'all just can't handle I don't care for Donaldson. It's my opinion and can hold it if I choose.

Weird you don’t care for a guy who loves playing in Atlanta and has been arguably the second best hitter in baseball not named Trout the second half

Okay... it’s also entirely possible the Braves win 5 of 7... or 7 of 7... or 0 of 7... you’re on a roll man

Plus we won the last series we played against them and spit the one before that... and they were just as red hot then... we have been just as good as them since the break and we are 4-3 against them since they’ve been hot... so yeah... weird opinion

Crazy how we get punished for not getting off to a bad start like the Nats, and that we're lucky they got off to a slow start and should be thankful to our overlords.

I hate to quote Tony LaRussa, but he always said you can't win the division in April and May but you can certainly lose it.

many a death blow has been struck in April and May
 
On Monday July 15th we were 7.5 up at 58-37. They were 48-43. They have gained 2 since that date. So yeah they have been slightly better.
