GDT 8-5: THE THING FROM CANADA ATTACKS...

I still think we are a very tired team. Twit hasn’t rested our big 3 and JD is now not getting any days off. We have 3 guys in the top 15 for at bats. You look at the Dodgers who rest everyone and the highest guy they have is 75 at bats less. It is absurd to me we went through the entire summer months and just kept playing guys everyday. Especially when the talk was to rest guys more.

You're Tired.

Every game is huge, and every series will make or break the season. The best players have to play against the team's rival, and every team is a rival. It's hard to rest guys when they smell blood in the water and have a chance to deal a kill shot to a different team every night.

Did I touch on every moronic cliche folks threw out when I suggested guys needed regular rest...like Swanson...who is now injured?

Im not much of a Snit basher but I think we win because we are a talented team. I feel like another manager not set in old ways and willing to rest guys would be much better for the long run. But how do you replace a guy when the team will probably win around 90 games because AA has put together a talented roster?

There are teams that take the rest days decision out of the manager's hands by pre-programming them.

I would favor a different approach, which would be to instruct Snitker to rest a regular every day game after a night game and letting him decide the particulars.
