GDT 8/6/19: Braves at Twins - Can Charlie Save our Season?

Theory: Our pen pitches worse with big leads because they’re trying not to walk people, so they just throw meat over the plate to avoid it.

If you told me the Twins would score 7 tonight with their young ace on the mound I'd said no way we win. But we kicked his ass like no one else this season.

Outside of one game vs the Angels where gave up 5 he hasn't given up more than 4 earned runs in a game and that was only twice. Kid came in dominating mostly.

Lol, did y’all see that scene? Albies and Acuna with their arms around each other in the dugout, Acuna tries to play it off in front of the camera and then Donaldson comes up from behind and grabs Acuna’s ass.

This kind of quality normally requires a Pornhub subscription.

For whatever reason, it seems we're more comfortable on the road than playing at SunTrust.

Not sure how to quantify it, but we just seem to play way more tight games at home while on the road we get frequent upsets like today.

Even more brilliant because we have another quick turnaround game in the afternoon just like we did in WAS last week when he pitched Luke and Swarz with high pitch counts on Tuesday evening then brought them back less than 13 hours later for the afternoon game.
 
Greene has pitched in 3 of the past 4 games. I assume he wont pitch tomorrow even though he only threw 11 pitches.

Swarzak and Jackson should be available along with the guys who didnt pitch tonight.

I wonder if it's a closing situation tomorrow if Snitkers goes with Melancon or Martin.

Or he could pull a Snit and use Greene again.
 
Someone asked this earlier and saw a quote from Snit that sort of answers it.

Snitkers Translation: When Dans comes back Ozzie is gonna move to 5 behind JD. When Neck comes back he goes back to 5th and Ozzie to 6th or 7th behind Mac.

This is not a really good translation from our resident hillbilly. More like this: “Ozzie is really good up there. I like him really good. When he gets on base it is really good for the team and really good things happen. Dans is really good too so my gut will have to be really good when deciding how to play them. But either way we are in a really good spot because they are both really good. ‘
