I think he can get 40 bombs with the juiced balls, not so sure about the SB's part.
 
I give Snit some credit for trying to get Greene and Martin into their comfort zones.

With Martin by giving him the 8th not the 9th today.

And giving Greene a low pressure inning last night.

There is something to a manager who has some insight into the psyches of his player.

The new guys are probably pressing a bit. Maybe less so with Melancon who has a lot of experience with high pressure situations.

At his current pace he's on pace for 40 homers and 36 steals. But he's really on been running wild for a month plus. I'd say it's better than a long shot at this point.

Yeah, by long shot I mean more like ~10-20%. But if he keeps running at the rate he's going he is gonna have a great shot at doing something insane. A 40/40 season at age 21 would be absolutely insane.

I think he has a better chance at 40 steals than 40 homeres. But yeah the kid is special.
 
Just got home and saw the score. Fried had a very good game! Albies I think has turned into the hitter we all hoped he would. Our top 4 hitters I’d put up against anybody in baseball. Question for the board, if Acuna does go 40/40 does he win MVP?

11 homers with 48 games is certainly a pace, but he'll be close if healthy.

But just talking about a possible 40/40 season at 21, he is some kind of good.

No. Bellinger and Yelich are still in a class of their own. And Bellinger is on the best team in the NL so I'd give him the award as of right now.

Yeah, I don't see 40 steals as a long shot at all. He barely stole any bases at the first of the year. When he started actually trying to run, he's been stealing bases in clumps. I think he gets to the mid 40s
