This is the epitome of the leadership issue the Braves have.

“We knew there was going to be some rough spots,” Braves manager Brian Snitker said. “I’m not expecting him to be a Gold Glove right fielder. To his credit, every day since we’ve got him, when I’ve wanted to give him a day [off], he’s wanted to play, because he’s that guy. We’re hoping the [offense] offsets [the defense].”

From a Bowman article on mlb.. one Bowman is an idiot.

But why is a manager asking players if they want a day off. Why is he not making those decisions and implementing them.

Not to defend Snit, but that’s not what it says.

It says exactly what it says.. "we know Soler was a DH all year, so we wanted to give him days off since he isn't used to playing in the field, but when I wanted to give him a day off he talked me out of it, so I put him in the lineup"

If that is not what is happening then someone needs to tell twit to be mindful of how he holds his post game presser.. But then this is coming from a guy who has a 'really good' drinking game created for his post game interviews. So that might be asking a lot.

There should have been planned days off, or the manager prior to the game/series, look at match ups and make lineup determinations and don't waiver because a player wants to play. it probably takes a little more effort than a career minor league leach is capable of..

Pen could be very short today.. I would look for twit to really push Morton as far as he can. Minter, prince albert both had a lot of pitches yesterday. Bummer threw in both games this series already.. So for sure JJ and Riggy are available. Jackson and Dunshee also can be used. If Mort doesn't make it into the 6th, then I see some troubles finishing the game.

He didn’t say he talked him out of it. He just says that Soler didn’t want to sit, not that he didn’t sit him because Soler said “no”. I mean, that could’ve been the case, but that’s not what it says in the interview.

Reading is hard.

seems to me that Twit wanted to give him a day off, but since he hasn't until Bowman actually printed this article, he hasn't because Soler wanted to play.. is there another way you are reading those literal words??

If AA goes 3 deadlines in a row next season without being able to address the team's weakness, he should be replaced. He inherited a championship level team, and he's been given funds... there's no reason to keep screwing up contention window seasons bc he blew money and prospects on dumb moves - Murphy and kelenic

Why is Arcia hitting in the 5 hole? Do those fckn morons not realize that Olson will not see **** to hit in a high leverage situation
