NL Rookie of the Year
Acuna, even through some down games at the plate still, has been much better since he altered his swing some. He has a .991 OPS since the all star break.
Soto is still somehow topping that.
Like I’ve said though, I seriously think we need to just move on from that. If Acuna keeps going even what he is doing isn’t normal for his age. We need to celebrate and appreciate that and not get mad because a guy is absolutely destroying all precedents even for the top 19 to 20 year old seasons in baseball.
The good thing though is, if there’s more growth for Soto, he becomes a DH in 5 to 6 years and you probably have to sell high if the DH doesn’t come to the NL. That said, he’ll play as a DH even from then with the tools he’s shown at the plate for an incredibly long time.
