I think you might have missed my point. I don’t expect the pitchers to be perfect. Just saying if the offense scores a few runs, then the pitchers wouldn’t have to be perfect for the team to have a chance to win.
 
Even if we miss the playoffs, I doubt Snit is fired because he can play the "half the team was injured" card--regardless of the number of questionable, at best, moves he made with the depleted roster.
 
I’ve always been patient with Snitker. Never been one to yell for him to be fired. I’ve often put the fault at the players more for not performing the way they need to for winning games. But all that said, he did not have a good series managing this series.

I always mock people who want every manager fired but Snitker needs to go. They need someone who does more than keep the players happy.
 
Snitker is having a brutal stretch/bad year. Exploited a good bit. But just changing managers isn't going to be the magic fix. We have high-paid talent/veteran players on this team making ridiculous mistakes over and over again. I would say if the manager is talked into calling it a career, it's a good time to start all over on the staff and not just promote Weiss. I guess it would be tough justifying canning Kranitz when the pitching staff has been doing all it can, but outside of that, I'm not seeing any evidence that any actual coaching goes into this team.

Really hoping that the Braves don't have a "coach in waiting" in lieu of Snit's retirement in Weiss like the Braves pretty much did with Fredi after Bobby stepped down.

Kranny hasn’t really been here this year. I agree coaches need to go and would clean house. Bring in a brand new group that AA hand selects. That way he can be the next fall guy
 
From Snit last night via DOB:


Snitker on using Duvall to PH in 10th, despite poor stats vs. RHs: “Going with the more experienced guy, honestly. He’s been struggling, hasn’t had a lot of at-bats, he’s working his tail off. But I don’t want that game to get over without (using) him…with him sitting there."
 
Everyone bitching about the Braves offense, they scored the same amount of runs as the Phillies in this series, and it took the Phillies two extra innings to do it.

We can beat these guys. Just get to the dance.

Last 2 series, they haven't saw sale. I like that... I want their first good look at him in the playoffs

But he leaves Murphy on the bench? Snit should be shot...out of a cannon...into the sun

I think it's clear we out played them in 3 of the 4 games. Just horrible managing.
 
We aren’t the only ones that see this. AA sees it to and will address it he just has to handle it with kids gloves bc Snit has been here for so long.
 
Losing 3 of 4 pretty much ended all realistic chances of chasing down the Phillies.

Snit is incapable of making tactically sound decisions, and it really hurts when he doesn’t have the most talented roster in the sport. He is going to cost the Braves at least 1 game in October, and since they are barely good enough to contend for a title that single loss will likely end the season.
