It's pathetic. First Gosselin for striking out when anything else would have scored a run, then on Fredi for not pulling CJ when we needed a hit with a righty on the mound.

And people here still say strikeouts don't matter. I don't care if he had to put a bunt down, we had to get the ball in play.

Alex Wood has now made 6 starts this season where he's gone 7+ IP and allowed 4 hits or fewer. #Braves now 1-5 in those 6 contests.

That stat right there speaks to how lousy this offense really is. Stick a fork in this team, they're done.

Strikeouts matter, they're not the only thing. THe problem with Gosselin is the same as Johnson, no real power and Ks too much. Gosselin doesn't swing at pitches in the zone. It's really weird,

Pitching Carp was dumb unless Waldo is hurt.

But scoring 1 run with that many chances sums up this season, the team just aint that good, too many flaws.

I'm to the point I want us to lose every game so we makes the necessary changes in the offseason. With my luck we squeeze in and everything will be will be just fine with the front office.

I've said it many times and people call me a Fredi lover.

A manager change wont make all the flaws better overnight.

No, but it would eliminate a significant problem.

I've said many times our crap offense is the reason we lose games. Fredi drives the nail in the coffin in many of these close losses and gives us no shot.

I blame much of this loss on Justin. Bases-loaded with one out, and he whiffs on a pitch that wasn't even close to a strike that would of given us a RBI-walk.

Just stupid baseball.

The pitching has been great all year and I've been happy how well it's all went, but we've just been terrible offensively. I don't know if it's the lineup or if the players just suck this year, but man.

Firing Fredi will not fix this. Neither will firing Walker and Fletcher although they will be the scapegoats. Give me a CFer that hits his weight, a 2b that doesn't strikeout, ditto the 3b and a lot of our problems will fix themselves.

Of course it won't. There are other things that need to happen along with firing Fredi and Walker/Fletcher. But fixing the other problems and leaving the big ones at the top of the team would be a huge mistake.
