GDT 9-12: Astros at Braves

Celebrating our young pitcher getting mauled is something. If you get a good pick at the expense of having a trash team, not really seeing why it's a good thing.

Waldrep was due for a stinker so it doesn't mean much. I'll let someone who does the rise and drop analysis, but if you throw a sinker that doesn't sink, it usually gets tattooed.

Everybody with common sense knew Waldrep wouldn't keep up the level of sub 1 ERA bc no pitcher can. Every pitcher has bad games and bad stretches. And yes I hope the whole team besides a few absolutely suck for the next couple of weeks bc winning actually hurts the team at this point.

Losers lose. Winners win. I will never actively pull for my team to be a loser. I would rather end the abomination with a good taste in our mouth heading into the offseason. Winning isn't like a water faucet... you can't just turn it on and off at will.

If we were mid season then it'd be different but being a bottom 5 team in baseball and the way the draft lottery works the best thing for the team is to get the best pick possible to make the shit show we've all sat though this year worth it.

I get it. Having a big time pick would be awesome. I'm just really concerned that we now have our SS, so our lineup is basically set for next season. We still keep losing. That's concerning to me. I would like to see this team play well down the stretch to feel better about this team

I completely understand. We wanna see signs of life for next year. I think we need a few big additions (big SP, legit OF, better, depth, better manager) and we'll be fine. The biggest thing is getting healthy. We see what Ozzie is doing now that he's healthy and Harris will be fine too. Add in a healthy Riley and another good hitting OF and we will be at the top on the division next year. A lot of it is Snit and just his dead approach at this point. We need new life in the dugout and somebody a lot younger that the players can relate with.

Braves have the 3rd easiest schedule left, so hopefully the Astros and Tigers do their damage on the Braves. I imagine Atlanta will go something like 8-2 in those 10 games with Washington and Pittsburgh
