Getting outs is sort of like pissing your pants—Touki needed to see other young guys do it before he realized it makes you cool.
As someone with 3 kids I get this analogy

Marlins are beating the Phillies again, and are on the verge of taking the 7 game series 5-2.
Phillies might be in trouble. They don't look very good with both Hoskins and Realmuto out of the lineup with injuries. Then Wheeler is also out with an injury, as well as their rookie starter Howard.
The rest of their schedule is no picnic either. They face the Mets for 3 and have to go against DeGrom and Lugo (both of who we miss). They've also got 4 left vs the Blue Jays, 3 left vs the Rays, and 4 vs the Nationals.

So they likely miss out on the 2nd place spot just by looking at that schedule. Still a really good shot at claiming the 7th or 8th seed. Which puts them in play to face us.

That would be kind of a dream for me. Odd season, so making the playoffs isn't necessarily an indication of greatness or futility, but the Phillies keep spending money and not getting the results they expect.
I absolutely love the fact that the Nationals are struggling.
