Its the way to losing. I would rather pay Soler 12 million to sell hot dogs at the stadium than to get rid of Ozuna for Soler. We are talking trading an MVP caliber hitter for a sub .800 OPS hitter. I think they are going to keep Soler and if Ozuna leaves after 2025 they have a spot for him. Ozuna very well could get a 3 year 100 million contract if he keeps hitting like an MVP. Beyond that Ozuna makes 16 million next year and Adames is going to get 25 per year. Ozuna is only signed up for 1 more year. Adames will take a 6+ year deal. Saving 16 million doesnt help us make 150+ million commitment.
