GDT 9/17/13: Braves (Garcia) @ Nationals (Roark) 7:05 PM (Game 2)

How?!? At best Mac hits a three run and cuts it to 1....then STRuggla and Simmons follow with good power.

If Laird had reached, or if Justin hadn't gotten doubled off, we could have been in a situation where it's 4-3 with two on and the 9 spot up. I still would rather have seen Mac, but it wasn't as egregious as the previous inning.

You should kinda be glad Upton got doubled off bc Johnson's hit would have been a staggering twin killing. I take my chance with Mac than fat ass

hitters need to get their heads out of their asses.

this team would be slumping regardless if heyward was in the lineup

At this point, I wouldn't scream if he made the bullpen. But the rotation? That would be disastrous. I am sure Fredi is giving it a lot of thought.

True but no more disastrous than Minor giving up three in the first. I really wish we had been able to get more relief pitching. Avilan's arm is falling off, and Walden isn't the same.

Its unbearable to watch how poor this team is playing. What's with Atlanta teams being the biggest choke artists in their respective sports? Its tough to be a fan of teams in the state of Georgia sometimes....really really tough

The two that stand out to me are Justin and Mac. Regardless of the suck that is BJuggla, those two have got to elevate their game. Justin may not be able to control the RBI thing with no presence at leadoff, but he can come up with hits in big situations more often.

Oh, to be back in those fine spring March and April days, with such high hopes for our revamped super star outfield! How the mighty have fallen!

Alright, here is the path to success. Win one against the Cubs, one against the Brewers, one against the Phillies. Nats lose one to the Cardinals.
