So as we are on the eve of a 2nd straight division title. AA clearly was the right choice in being hired as GM. The Coppy scandal is the best thing that could have happened to this organization.

I agree AA was the right hire, but this offseason will tell alot.

Does he cash in some prospects, how far into the checkbook does he go to keep JD. Lot of players with team options, among other things. But AA is pretty good at his job despite some fans not liking the way he does things.

Coppy getting fired was the best move for the team though, i dont even wanna think what he may have done if he stayed on.

Would it be logical for the Braves to start Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright in the two games in Kansas City?

Soroka should be shut down other than him throwing like a 3 inning tuneup, same with Fried although i'm not against him not pitching until the NLDS. But the games next week should be like ST lineups. No point in playing the starters all that much.

I had more time to think about it and I think you really only need to make one move, and it's pushing Soroka to next Friday. I'd still cap him and Fried but you only need to make one move if you want Soroka and Keuchel for game 1 and 2 of the NLDS and it's this move.

The veterans can pitch as much as they like (well, maybe I'd cap Keuchel as well in that final game). The young guys like Wilson and Wright probably can't make a full start. So, what I'd do for that Wednesday that Soroka originally is scheduled in but will probably not pitch in (at least imo) is have one of the above "start" a technical bullpen game and go one time through before switching to the other.

Then I might have Fried follow Folty on that next Saturday for 2-3 innings as a tune up.

For Kansas City, I'd get guys like Riley and Hech in there both games.

AA was handed a nice team dont' you think?

And again - I'm thrilled with having AA here.

No doubt, but AA has made some VERY savvy moves that improved our team. One would wonder what Coppy would have done

Not sure it could have turned out any better so I'm glad we didn't find out.

Despite that - The cupboard is plentiful and I'm sure AA would be the first to admit that.

I'm sure that was a big reason that AA jumped at the chance to leave LA. Braves were in a very good position for a competent GM.

Dream Job - To go along with a new ball park that has growing attendance numbers (+86K trending) this year and continued development of the mix use. YTD revenue growth is going to spike. The Braves brand is strong right now. Future is looking sweet for re-investment into the team. Payrolls in the the 140-150 range aren't out of the question based on the trendlines.
