GDT 9/19 SALE. Get it done.

People are saying he was taking a few mph off to help with command. Remember, he was throwing 91 in the start before last, and then was all 96, 97, 98 vs the Dodgers.
 
I think I would rather miss the playoffs than for Sale have a serious injury. We can't afford to be without him in 2025.

Certainly hope that is the case. I know we're in a playoff chase, but if moving him back a start keeps him healthy, I am all for it.
 
Sale only threw 30 FA today. He averaged 92.7mph which is about 1 mph lower than his Toronto start where he threw 45 FA.

The last 2 innings in todays start was sub 91 and the only one he hit 93 on was about 5 feet high and outside. I think Sale does like to change speeds on his fastball, but I am not going to be surprised if something comes out that he isn't feeling right.

entire top of the lineup (or those that should be good) seem to be clicking together of late.. even the clunkers of games was hard hit outs or sequencing crap. would be interesting to make the post season with RHH Ozzie and a hot top 5 along with a healthy starting staff that the Braves had all year.
