GDT 9/2/23: Braves @ Dodgers - Keep on crushing

He’s gotten lucky tonight. I just don’t trust him against a good lineup in the postseason. Allowing lots of baserunners and not striking guys out doesn’t generally work out in the playoffs.

I am totally with you, man. I'm guessing he'll be more of a long man and/or spot guy with Kyle Wright if Fried, Strider or Morton fail, but I sure as hell don't want to see him starting in a big game.

Also, if Murphy doesn't stop grounding into double plays on horrific pitches. I get he's not able to play enough anymore to have a good rhythm, but damn dude.

Heyward as a platoon bat in LF would be pretty cool. He has 300 PAs this season, and 285 of them have been vs RHP.

Of course that would require Snit to utilize a platoon competently, which he pretty clearly can’t do.

I feel like I’d like to see a better RHH option than pillar in 2024.

It will be interesting to see how AA spends with Fried/Strider/Morton/Elder already locked into the 2024 rotation with Wright/Soroka being question marks.

LF is literally the only place to upgrade.

Well, that's a damn good start in the books for Elder. I hope Snit doesn't try and stretch him one more. Let's get some runs!

I don't know how Bryce Elder does what he does but he does it. You're watching him and it doesn't look like he's great and all of a sudden it's the 6th and he's given up only one run.
