Not defending him but I'm also not blaming Fredi for everything after we lose or something goes wrong during a LONG season.

Well, you could've fooled me by your jumping the gun against my comments. What I said and meant was simply that it was too bad that he'd already been warmed up. That wasn't directed at Fredi but at the timing of when we scored the runs. Now Dalyn's post was what you wanted to complain about, so I reckon you got your wish where you could do what you do.

I hate it but I will be hoping for a Nats win tonight. But only to give us a shot at winning the division and celebrating on the field tomorrow.

I do agree with you I may root for the Nats to win so we can clinch by winning tommorow.

How would they celebrate if the Nats lose?

Also, not sure I'm alone, I'm rooting for the Nats when they play the Cards....

Does anyone have our magic number to clinch best record?

Let's see...

We have nine left, hold the tiebreaker over Stl and LA.

Have a 2 game edge in L column over Stl and 3 over LA.

7-2 would do it, 6-3 would force Stl to run the table.

I believe it's 7.

OK fair enough, we shouldn't be debating this other stuff now anyway. We should be focusing on celebrating a division title. I agree with you about the Cardinal series also because if the Nats beat them it helps our home field chances.

I don't know why anyone is concerned about Nats now. They're basically done. Reds will hold on in other words.

I am not sure how we will celebrate if Nats lose tonight or if it gets much if any real media coverage. But whatever the case I am sure it will be boring compared to clinching on field, etc. Think about how we won Wild Card last year on the field, that's doing it in style!

If today's games for us and Nats were not so far apart in time it would be better. At least tomorrow the games are a bit closer though ours is still earlier.

I believe at this very moment the magic number for clinching home field is 8.

edit: that's for winning outright. if we have the tiebreaker then it is indeed 7.

As for the division, I don't care if it's won at 2am. I won't get to see the celebration anyways. I'm sure WGN won't show it tomorrow.

Actually, if it gets media coverage same as last year. You'll be able to watch it on MLB.TV (including via archive if same as last year). Plus other sites will post it including Youtube (last year's celebration was all over Youtube). But that's only if we clinch tomorrow on the field. If tonight you probably won't see much, though maybe a small one.

we've got the tiebreaker vs LAD, Stl, Pitts and Cincy. Those home sweeps really come in handy.

Talk about omens and talismans. Walked into my bank this morning and the only other customer in there was ***lord Perry. Knew then Braves would win today.

Just for info. This is in a really small town, like 1500 residents.

Hey man, its a name not a politically unacceptable word like a wood ***got.

most #Braves players are going to stay and watch game in clubhouse, others will come back later during #Nats game

Chris Johnson: "This is why we play the game. Hanging out ,watching the game and getting ready to go nuts. I’m excited."
