GDT 9-22: Sale vs. Nationals

I truly believe they will run the table if they win Morton's start.

Charlie’s gonna come in and throw pure heat as hard as he can for as long as he can.. and then empty the pen. We’re winning that game.

I can’t believe it’s almost over - this season, as much as it sucked, seemed to fly by faster than any I can remember. I can already feel the depression coming on- but knowing it’s over and has been for a good while now makes it easier.
I’m still gonna be staring at the TV on Tuesday nights wondering “just what in the hell am I supposed to do now…”

At least there’s SEC officiating to bitch about..

The good news is that a hamate fracture typically has a recovery window of about 6–8 weeks, followed by some therapy. As long as the bone heals correctly, Albies should be ready to go by spring and in good shape for next season.

From what I remember, it's notorious for sapping power in the season it happens. So typically when guys come back after 4-5 weeks, their power is dramatically limited that season. But I don't remember seeing anywhere that it saps power for the rest of someone's career. This isn't a super uncommon injury for hitters.

Lasty year's injury seems to have affected Albies tremendously the first half of this season.

Optimistically, I guess you can say Albies has extra time to simply heal and not worry about rehabbing and getting back into the lineup quickly like he did last season.

He’s talking about Ozzie’s power suffering for most of this season after fracturing his wrist last year. But it’s not clear if it’s the same bone he broke last year.

On the other hand (no pun intended), Ozzie will have plenty of time to heal and get right. It's unfortunate it happened, but this is about the best time.
Not if it’s going to affect him for a calendar year like it did this season. Then he will be useless the entire season instead of just half of it. (Assuming it’s the same injury).
