Freeman is cooked, btw.
Acuna's been completely forgettable today. Just not been a factor in any way.

It's a pretty big failure of management not to have been more cautious with Freddie since his elbow started barking.
Just to harken back to what Snitkers said a month or two ago when a reporter asked him about players getting rest.
"If they're healthy they're gonna be out there everyday".
I guess using his logic and Freddie as an example that if they're not healthy they will not be in there everyday.

And then you have Albies being off Saturday and Sunday, then Monday and Thursday. Four out of six days. I'd have given him off Saturday, Monday, and Thursday and played him today to hopefully avoid any chance he sits too much and it kills his hot streak. I don't really think it'll matter either way, I just wouldn't have chanced it, and it struck me a little odd how Snitker went from one extreme to the other without ever spending any time in the center.
yea that is really stupid.

Don't forget, it was Snitker's overusage and abuse of Sam Freeman's arm that forced his effectiveness to drop in the 2nd half sharply last year, and Sam had to change his delivery in the offseason because he said his shoulder was basically dead.
Some have been yelling all season long for guys to be rested regularly before they get hurt...not after. Every single time it was met with comments like, "this series vs a division rival is too important", or "the Braves have to take care of business against these lesser teams", or some other silly cliche justifying why it wasn't a good time to rest key players.
Fact of the matter is AA built a deep roster specifically to allow Snit to rest guys regularly, and he didn't do it. We saw Markakis wear down for a 2nd year in a row before he got hurt. We saw Acuna wear down again after being run out in CF everyday for months. We saw Freeman in the lineup every day despite clear issues with his elbow.
This year the Braves have lucked into 5-7 more wins than their peripherals suggest and covered up many of these moronic decisions, but what happens if that luck flips and they need to be managed optimally?
At what point does is this issue addressed? Is Snit going to be allowed to waste an entire season during the window of contention with bonehead moves before anything is done?
