They would just have to cut the season off in early to mid-September, thus trimming the schedule. We don't need longer playoffs like the 2-month NBA cluster****.

Well, if they finish tied, they probably need to play again anyway.
 
I just wish the NL Central would end in a three-way tie, or at least a two-way tie. Still hoping for the AL WC to have a three-way tie as well.
