GDT 9/24/13: Brewers (Thornburg) @ Braves (Garcia) 7:10 PM

Can't stand ESPN. They want LA or STL to win homefield so bad. Watching baseball tonight has become nauseating.

Glad the Braves still have something to play for this year. Say what you want about Selig, but that extra wildcard game has definitely made the best record in the league more important than ever.

According to them there is no chance the Braves make it past NLDS so they just ignore us even though we made the playoffs. If we make the NLCS they will probably spend the whole series talking about how we lucked out and the other team we face is lucky we took out whoever we did so they dont have to face them.

never disagreed more with anything.

According to MLB.com the official scorers corrected the call on the Gattis hit. It was changed to a hit rightly, but shouldn't have needed changing. It was fielded on the shortstop side of second and stayed down. That's a hit all the way. I hate the official scorers in Atlanta, they've stolen a lot of hits from Simmons but apparently Gattis won't get the Simmons treatment this time. Though he did on the initial ruling.

Well, I guess they couldn't make up their mind. Now MLB.com has changed it back to an error taking away what should've been a third hit in the game for Gattis. Again, I hate the official scorers in Atlanta...

Can't disagree more.

Play 162 games, then have your season decided by a one game playoff where anything can happen.

It's crap, one of the dumbest things I've seen in sports.

I don't see why any fans of the Braves could still support it after how it burned us last year. I hate it for the record, we were cheated and didn't deserve to have our solid season go down the drain like that.

It ruined the end of Chipper's final year too, IMO.

I wouldn't mind a 3 game series, as opposed to a 1 game play in.

However, while I'm extremely biased against the 1 game playoff, it really does make the importance of winning your division that much more meaningful. Yeah we had a bunch of wins on St. Louis last year, but if we had taken care of business against Washington, we would've had a series instead of a play-in.

We won 94 games last year, we would of had to win 99 games to win the division, know how hard that is?

There is no reason we should of played in that abortion of a playoff game.

I feel very, very bad for the two teams who lose in the play in game, I really do, especially if it's the Pirates.

It's total crap, it makes winning your division more important but having a one game do or die game decide your season?

I just don't get it.
