GDT 9/25/13: Brewers (Lohse) @ Braves (Maholm) 7:10 PM

dude, they're all stikes.

we have to decide who's our 2b. We appear to have two options, Uggla and Eliot Johnson. This isn't Fredi's fault, its on Wren. We got nuthin'.

Oh, how could I forget, we also have Paul Janish. Seriously, three 2b's all hitting below .200. Pathetic.

So is it safe to assume that Walden isn't coming back this year? He hasn't got into a game in over a week, and it doesn't look like he's getting any chances to get right. The bullpen is going into the toilet right along with the hitting this September.

dude, they're all stikes.

Then take a strike or two. Better than swinging at a pitchers pitch and making a quick out. Make Lohse work. Right now we're doing EXACTLY what he wants.

And they're not all strikes. He's climbed inside our hitters heads and made a nest. We're swinging at balls and taking strikes. He knows what our hitters are going to do before they do. Right now he's got us swinging early at a ton of changeups and sliders below the zone early in the count and giving him easy outs.

Here's a question. Are the Braves the team to root against?

Let's look at this.

The team started the year on the wrong foot by putting the brave caricature on the spring training hats.
The Tomahawk Chop.
The fact we continued to hit Harper.
Home Run Police.

I don't think the Braves are the bad guy, just misunderstood. A little douchey.

What solutions were there? We had Pastornicky and then he got injured for the year. Forgive Wren for not predicting that, along with the rest of our injuries.

Downs must have something to do in October. Some sort of benefit, probably.

I can't really blame Downs much. They haven't hit him hard at all. A bleeder through a hole and a bloop that fell in. It happens. Just not for us right now.

With Uggla it's entirely possible his bat has slowed down to the point where he's no longer a major league player. But the guy is lost at the plate all the same. There's not even been an attempt to change his plate approach to fit his slowing bat. He's still trying to deposit everything in the left field stands. That might be all on Uggla but I haven't heard anything about trying to overhaul Uggla's approach.

Screw overhauling his approach....they need to overhaul his contract the hell out of Atl
