They are going to try and get five innings innings if it takes until 3 am aren’t they …..
We gotta jump on them heavily and early and often. Good thing is : Soler and Ozzie and Harris are all putting baseballs in the Chophouse tonight !!

Gonna suck if we're only gonna get like 2-3 innings out of Sale with all the start stop start stop.

Us and the Mets are both kind of screwed bc we are gonna throw our best pitchers unless we lock it up this weekend. Hopefully we can sweep the Royals and the Dbacks or Mets help us out by losing and those games wont matter. If us and the Mets both sweep this weekend and the Dbacks lose out then neither one of us need to play the games technically. We can take the 3 seed and set the rotation.

Even if the Mets get swept and the Braves sweep, those 2 games still have meaning. (Braves could win game 1 and make game 2 meaningless). Best hope is to sweep the Royals and hope the Dbags lose 2 more games.. I don't care about the Mutts. The Braves would clinch over the Dbags and could throw quad A starters versus the Mutts at that point.

If the Giants win tonight, I really like the Braves chances to make that Monday double header meaningless.
Also if the Braves jump out to an early 5 run lead on KC either Friday or Sat, then Sale and Fried need to be pulled for Holmes. If pitch count is low enough, they could come back on short rest.

This is a silly counter point. Why would the Mets come back for one game when they had a mutual off day while in Atlanta. Unlike the Braves, the Mets didn’t know the weather for these games in April. The Braves are the dumbasses and deserve any disadvantages they put on themselves.

The plot thickens. So neither team was budging. Hopefully this weekend will make it pointless anyways. Gotta root for the Giants and Royals. If the Royals win tonight and the Twins lose i believe the Royals clinch so that will make our series easier with them resting guys. And the Giants can put us ahead of the Dbacks tonight.

This is so idiotic. No ****ing team would be willing to lose the revenue of two huge games that they would be getting between gates, concession, and the Battery (which they own). It’s not like they knew these two games had a chance of getting washed out until about Sunday, which by the way, was too late to do anything about except for move a game to Monday with both teams’ consent.
That would be unwise. Let Sale and Fried secure the wins. They are already set up to go in games 2 and 3 in the WC round if we get there. We wouldn't get any additional regular season or WC starts out of them. Holmes would be most valuable pitching the second game of the double header in a situation where we have clinched a spot but seeding needs to be determined.
If we need to win game 2 to clinch Holmes may be needed to start Game 1 of the WC series as undesirable as that may be.
