yeah, there is zero chance they get even close to NY. They will find somewhere in the south to play, but I think the Braves would rather wait and have it infront of a hostile crowd. I think it will all depend on how many games get washed.

Knowing Manfred, MLB would probably respond by projecting the results of the three games based on WAR and adjusting the standings accordingly. Why play baseball games when not playing baseball games is an option?

Georgia still hasn't repealed the law that cost Atlanta the All-Star Game last year. Manfred will probably use that as justification for moving the series to New York.

I don't think you are serious.. but that was a joke and just virtue signalling by MLB. They have moved on from that topic because it no longer makes them look good in the court of public opinion. It was dumb for baseball and Mandick to get involved with that, but Mandick is by far the worst commis in the history of all sports.

Opinions on this law aside, it was nonsense to punish the Braves for a law they had exactly zero control over.

It would be like punishing immigrants by shipping them around like livestock because you don't like an immigration law.

Since Miami won't be hit by this storm that would be the the perfect place to play since they're away.

What would suck the most is the loss of revenue that this series would likely would have generated in Truist Park and at the Battery.
 
DoB says the Braves will start Elder today, TBD tomorrow, and Odorizzi for the final gNats game. Says that Mueller made his last start on Wednesday for Gwinnett so he lines up for the start tomorrow.

With hurricane coming towards Atlanta this week. We may get postponement ahesd of time. Which means we can maybe push back a starter.
 
Braves and Mets have a mutual day off on Thursday. The storm is expected to hit Friday. Theoretically, they could play game 1 Thursday, have Friday off, then resume as scheduled in Atlanta Saturday and Sunday.
