GDT 9/27/2013: Braves v. Phillies

Looked a little slowed, but passable, in LF during that inning.

By the way: all games are free today on mlb.tv.

True, but you wouldn't want to use him anywhere else (esp. not centerfield). My concern is his bat though, not so much being passable in left.

Also, I noticed that about the free mlb.tv but I already paid for the 3.99 deal.

I am encouraged by how impressive Heyward has looked lately. It will be huge if we have a hot and all the way back Heyward heading into the playoffs. He didn't get a hit in the first but that was another line drive.

Well, Simmons at least cleared Uggla. Hopefully Uggla can at least clear the pitcher.

Yea, right.

I've stuck with Uggla awhile longer than most this season, but at this point I had more hope Medlen would drive in a run, if only Lee would just pitch around Uggla.

Do you think he would have made contact if he swung? Drawing walks is about the only way he doesn't make an out anymore.

It's like he just assumed they'd pitch around him. He actually has hit Lee in the past so at least give it a go. However, I agree with your lack of faith in his contact skills at this point.

Uggla.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Uggla this off-season. If we move him we'll probably need to take on a bad contract in return. But at this point I am okay with that.

It will be interesting to see if Uggla gets another hit this season.

Cardinals already up 2-0 on Cubs, all hits with two outs. If Wood cannot beat them I doubt anyone else going against them this weekend does.

It might take a sweep Philly for us to take home field.
