I hope something can be worked out that Max can be here beyond this season, mostly because there are so many questions about next season’s rotation. Regardless, his greatest moment as an Atlanta Braves pitcher will be Game 6 against the Astros. But tonight was dog gone close to it.

Not expecting him back but AA is quite shrewd and i'm sure he has a plan to replace him if we cant keep him which will most likely be the case. Even w/o Max and probably Morton, a front 3 of Sale/Lopez/Schwellenbech is a good place to start with Strider back sometime within the first month or so.

I was surprised how emotional I felt watching Fried tonight. He was one of the first pieces Coppy acquired in the rebuild, and pitched the biggest game since the 90’s for the Braves in game 6.

If that’s it, that’s a special way to go out.

What an incredible game - radio made it sound like Fried was very aware that may have been his last game as a starter and Snit wanted him to get shutout - luckily Snit recognized the gravity of the situation pulled the plug.
