Here is this offense again. The Phillies are pitching a bullpen game and the Braves still have just one run, and we think they're going to do something against Kershaw and Greinke in the playoffs. If they play LA, they will be down 0-2 before they even hit LA.

**** happens. We needed the sweep, and barring a miracle, we're not going to get the job done. Just hope we can win tomorrow, and the Cubs come through.

Here are some nice team stats:

.246 batting average before tonight. .319 OBP. .399 SLG

Runs = 4.2/game before tonight. Hits = 8/game before tonight. Walks = 3.3/game before tonight. About one steal every three games.

Only thing we've improved on during September is stealing. It is a little better than the average for the year. We have the fewest hits of any team in September. Just pathetic all around. Hard to believe, really.

For the love of God, even if we don't come back here, at least show that we can put up a competent effort and score runs with two on and no one out.

It might be for the best. The Dodgers are playing as bad as we are.

They've had some injuries, even still, facing Kershaw and Greinke three times is a nightmare waiting to happen.
