GDT: 9/30/'15 - Braves vs. Gnats , We welcome Brian Jordan to the discussion!

At least we know BJ too wasn't fond of B.J. either. Lol

He was surprisingly honest itt. Not sure if I should give credit to BJ or the random dude from the internet who I've never met who happens to have elite tickets for Braves games with access to ex brave talents and posts on Braves' message boards.

Ha! I have no access to tickets. I was helping with Brian’s golf tournament (I’ll post info, I promise) and he got me in through the player’s gate and “found” me seats. I am just lucky for one night. And wanted to share since y’all make a semi-lurker feel welcome.

Hats off to John A. I have no idea if he was trolling us the whole time, but either way it was fun.

I never forgave Jordan for retiring from football. He never got hurt in the NFL but was banged up all the time in baseball. Loved him as a Falcon more than I liked him as a Brave.

BTW, don't you hope Harper winds up with the Yankees so he can have some quality time with McCann?

Have to add, it was a joy to watch the Nationals absolutely mail it in for this final series. It's just too bad the Marlins or Braves can't catch them. I see Matt Williams fired within 48 hours of the final out. That would be about 24 hours after Paplebon gets his release.

Totally the manager's fault.

I'm guessing Williams will be the first to go in the off-season's managerial carousel. In one sense, it's difficult to see what he could or should have done differently, but that's a solid team that woefully under-performed. No question injuries hurt them. Guys like Escobar, Espinosa, Robinson and Taylor put together reasonably good seasons (although they aren't Rendon, Span, and R. Zimmerman at full strength).

Curious to see what they do about Desmond and J. Zimmerman. Don't know what Desmond's market will be. Just doesn't look like a SS, but if guys like Marcus Semien trot out to the position every day, Desmond may stay at the position for someone. I wonder if Desmond gets a contract as big as the one he turned down last off-season. My guess is they let Span and Fister walk. I've always liked Fister and wonder what his market will be.
