GDT 9/8/14: Braves (Minor) @ Nationals (Fister) 7:05 PM [Platoon GDT]

Sorry, been absent a lot....which will make a few people happy here...I agree it is hard to get into it. I know they have a great chance at the playoffs, but this team, something is wrong with it, we have stars, JHey, Freddie, Upton, Simba on defense and folklore hero the Bear, but something is seriously lacking. Not Braves baseball to me. Maybe it is the pitching, we were so blessed with it for so long, even last year, but this year, bland.

Am I right or just talking out of my ass?

Its pretty obvious what is wrong-the team can't score runs. Nobody hits consistently well. And everyone we acquire gets worse as soon as they hit town for some damned reason.

LOL CJ you POS. You looked back and saw Werth stumble and still didn't throw it to Andrelton at the bag.

How pathetic is your offense when an opposing run in the first feels like the game is already over?

Chip: "Heart of the order coming up next its Freeman, Justin, and Johnson"

Or in other words, beat-beat-SKIP.

I honestly don't understand how this offense is so bad. It's like everyone comes to Atlanta and sucks. I know Fister has been good, but it's obviously way more than tonight. 4 of our last 8 contests have been shutouts. I truly don't understand. Lineup configuration is big but it doesn't cause shutouts every night.

BJ needs to go. CJ needs to go. La Stella needs to start consistently. Simba needs to stay at the bottom of the lineup. Obviously there's way more to it, but it has to start somewhere and this has to be fixed.

Good for Mike Minor though. I'm happy to see him back to where he needs to be.

Well he "needs to be" shutting people out because our offense is useless.

That at-bat was the difference between last year and this year. We've had pretty decent at-bats for much of the year but gotten nothing from it... Justin launched that pitch and couldn't get it out. Last year, that's probably out. lol
