Acuña’s Bat Flip
NL Rookie of the Year
....Nah...too easy.
Can you help me out, please?

Did we claim him?
An unknown team has claimed Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy on revocable trade waivers, per Joel Sherman of the New York Post. The identity of the claiming team is not known, though Sherman notes that the veteran did not make it to the Yankees on the wire.
Murphy was reportedly placed on waivers on Friday. That means the situation is likely still pending. The unidentified team would have been awarded the claim on Sunday, setting off a period of 48.5 hours during which that club and the Nationals will see if they can work something out.

Use your imagination.
It won't let me edit the main thread title that shows up in the forum, just the thread.
What are you trying to change it to?

I know even intelli-Braves buttholes curled up when Sam Freeman almost blew the game. The offensively challenged Pirates bailed him out with some early swings but he still sucks after getting in a jam including giving up a rocket double! I don't want to see him but in low leverage situations meaning we are up or trailing by 5 or more runs but Snitkers got lucky tonight!
Intelli Braves know what Sam Freeman is, and don't allow 10-15 poor IP to change their view. Derpi Braves allow recency bias to completely cloud their judgement of players.
Antone with even a cursory understanding of pitching statistics understands he is a slightly above average BP arm who doesn't need to be used as a LOOGY and is best suited for mid-leverage innings on a contending team.
Folks who think he should be dumped are wrong. Folks who think he should be used 4-5 days a week in high leverage spots are wrong. He is a perfectly good cheap arm to round out a competitive BP. He should not be extended under any circumstances, and when he gets expensive via Arb he should be a non-tender candidate.
He nearly blew the game last night after his "DL" stint. Don't start backtracking now!

Dude, he's a jerk, but he's right. Just let it go. He hasn't backtracked on anything and has been pretty consistent in his evaluation. I happen to agree with him.
Sam Freeman's wOBA allowed by month with the Braves...
May 2017: .277
June 2017: .315
July 2017: .312
Aug 2017: .162
Sept 2017: .228
Mar 2018: .245
May 2018: .271
June 2018: .334
July 2018: .440 (went to the DL with shoulder fatigue after 5.2 IP)
Sam Freeman has shown to be a consistently above average BP arm. He is not a high leverage guy. He is not a LOOGY. He is not garbage that needs to be cut.
Again, anyone with any semblance of an understanding about pitching metrics can easily understand what Sam Freeman is.
I think some posters routinely show their ignorance, and we are seeing another clear example here.
Funny how you pick and choose, in three of his good months you listed we weren't a contending team and another one March of this season was a very short sample size. Coincidence? I think not, Where is April '18? The dude is a low leverage arm on a contending team at best.
