The burn of Venters is most likely to hurt us this inning, as he matches up better vs Soto and Harper coming up. Hopefully Biddle can get it done and we can score in the 9th. It will hurt a lot to be swept in a DH.
 
Now that it's a bullpen game, as long as Lane has a consistently generous strike zone, we may be okay.

First we need to get through the bottom of the eighth and the meat of the Nats order.

The alternative to Venters in fifth inning of three run game was probably ... Luke Jackson?

They are pitching their actual high leverage guys in the high leverage moments of this one. I'm not sure Venters actually qualifies.
 
So far in this series by the good lefties on the team...10.2 IP 1 ER.

Should just strengthen the fact to be very worried that Allard couldn't even do mediocrely.
 
Well that was nice. Ender has been huge of late.

Looks like not bunting with two on, nobody out worked out okay. Honestly, I was second guessing not bunting after Kurt lined out. I just knew Ender would rollover into a double play. Glad I was wrong.
