GDT: Braves @ A's 05/30

I know this board is not a fun place after a game like this, but I’d hope you all have more sense than this guy

I mean he has been rough this series but don’t DFA him. He probably has options so just send him down and make him wear that stupid coat the whole way back to Gwinnett.

I know it was just the As, but Elder continues to amaze…..
And it is indeed now time for Snitker to get to chewing of some ass.
Haul ‘em in the shower and throw a trash can full of bats in there. And then call ‘em all lollygagers…..

Of course, didn’t LA get swept by these clowns ?

And we're just really, really tired from that cross-country flight.

Couple weeks ago it was Canada and the inconvenient ballpark in Toronto. Now it's a flight to California. Next, it's going to be the heat in Phoenix that messes them up.
This has got to be the least resilient team in the league.

One-third of the season over, and the picture is getting clearer and clearer. It's a team that can put up some amazing numbers when things are going good and everyone is having fun. But in tough environments and hard-fought games, they continue to underperform. Still a lot of season left, but that's not a recipe for playoff success.

I am so glad I fell asleep literally minutes before the series began. I don’t know what’s happening with the team right now, and I honestly think it’s probably pretty fluky, but it is what it is and they need to figure this out. No more excuses because dropping two games to the Athletics tells me you’re coming to the ballpark unprepared.

Elder has been a pleasant surprise. I've only watched him live on television once and his stuff doesn't look at imposing, but he has the opposition pounding the ball into the ground. He's kind of a throwback. The thing I have noticed following on Gameday is that his strike/ball ratio always seems a bit shaky out of the gate, but pretty soon he's just pounding the lower half of the strike zone consistently.

Braves had to go well over double the slot value (Elder's bonus was almost twice as large as Strider's) to sign Elder and it's panned out to this point. Curious to see how it goes from here.

we keep waiting for the ship to sink.. but it must have some flex tape on it or something. even the run last night was a crap bs run. Elder has been a solid addition to the rotation.
