A good example of the balance throughout the line-up. Acuna's probably the only guy who could carry the team, but even if individual players have peaks and valleys, someone else will be able to pick them up during their downswings.

don’t get me wrong, he didn’t pitch very well today, but he also faced a really damn good team and it was his first regular-season game.
 
And he beat the cardinals, his, you know, arch nemesis….
Great win! Love getting the road wins- especially against the very good teams- may not seem like much more than any other win, but getting these road wins against playoff clubs is huge.
 
We can spin old man mort anyway we want but he had at least 3 to 4 balls get caught at the wall. He flirted with disaster all night. Hopefully it was an off night and not what is in-store for the rest of the season.
 
Charlie was bad - but it wasn’t THAT bad. There was a lot of babipping going on with the weak contact hits and such- and he had no fastball left - none. Hell, he quit throwing it completely, and was still able to somehow eat innings.
Looking forward to Dodd tonight !
