Kimbrel's NEVER gone 2 innings before. And if you watched Game 2 you could clearly see he was gassed.

I would never throw that fat piece of caca anything slow. His bat is slow. First Pig a fastball outside when we aren't guarding the line and then a fat hanging curveball to Sandoval's older fat brother.

Maybe he'd be throwing 95 instead of 100 in the 9th...He's still Kimbrel, its the playoffs and hes been used once in the past 10 days guys. He needed to be in their in my opinion. Isn't that one of the reaons why the Yankees won so many world series? They at least knew when it came down to it get the Mariano in there

I would've used him for Puig and Uribe in the 8th, then gone with someone else in the 9th, but I know no manager except Maddon would do that.

As soon as there was a runner, we should have gone with Kimbrel. You've got an off day tomorrow, plenty of time to rest, and now unless our bats wake the heck up, we're going to have all off season to rest Kimbrel...

I don't understand the criticism here. Carpenter has been great all year, he just didn't get the job done. Kimbrel has never pitched 2 innings.

Yeah, that's been a successful formula. It was just a poor pitch selection, you throw a 97 MPH heater and you get cute with a hanging curve ball
