GDT: Braves @ Dodgers (NLDS Game 4, October 7, 2013)

You know what though I will say this, im glad we have the message board to vent. Otherwise I'd be looking at multiple dollars worth of damage that would be done to my home. Thanks SAV.

As soon as Kershaw was announced, McCann should've had the night off.

In reality McCann had the night off. He came in for one pitch and gunned down Puig at second base. Other than that he was absent all series long.

Plus, if Kimbrel stuggles in the 9th, you have the option of, you know, pitching someone else. Heck Starters could have been asked to come in and get an out, why not Mike Minor who wouldn't need to pitch until Friday?

Yeah, I don't really disagree. It's debatable. It only looks obvious because Carpenter left a hanger up to Uribe.

Well, it was a helluva season. Tragic that it ended this way.

Carpenter did the same thing in game two. That right there should've sealed his fate for tonight with anything less than a 3-run lead.

Shouldn't it be statistically near-impossible to lose in the first round this many times in a row? Doesn't that speak to something very critically wrong with the Braves organization philosophically? I just don't get it. First-time and one-time teams to the postseason constantly go through to the next round, often even winning the whole shebang. In the last 15 years or so.... Marlins - 2 WS championships.... Cardinals - 2 WS championships.... Red Sox - 2 WS championships.... Giants - 2 WS championships.... Yankees - 5 WS championships.... Braves - 0 times getting out of the 1st round since 2001....

Exactly...........but no, our esteemed manager would not have none of that. What did McCann do this game, well outside of throwing someone out on the base paths? Not a damn thing. He k'ed 4 times and not a single hit the whole series, left guys on and on and on and his play calling in the last inning was putrid. He basically played himself off the team and unless he comes back for 12 mil or less. I would gladly help pack his bags if someone wants to give him more money.

Our pitching sans a few absolutely blew this series.

Wouldn't have expected this.

Only Minor, Avilan, Kimbrel, and Freddy F'ing Garcia showed up. Jesus, even Ayala showed up and he's the one that's clinically diagnosed with anxiety disorders.

Well it was obvious to me, because I was screaming in my living room to take Carpenter out, right before he gave up the homer.
