Lol Riley is actually UNDERPERFORMING his xwOBA up until this point. Right now his xwOBA is .538 and his xwOBACON is .791.
This has been one of the most ridiculous month long stretches I've ever seen from a player this young.

This. We rarely play well here. Should be swept them. Very good series.
Just not sustainable which is obvious. What's also obvious is he hits the ball hard.
Well of course he won’t do this for the rest of the year, but he can level out a TON and still be great.

Almost every player has a higher expected wOBA on contact then they do overall.
Riley’s wOBA and xwOBA difference is about what’s expected from a slow RHH.

Yeah I know, I thought I put his wOBA in there as well but I must have had a brain fart. For reference, his wOBA is .502 so he has a difference of -.037 between his wOBA and xwOBA.
I wasn't referencing his xwOBAcon to indicate that he had been unlucky according to his batted balls, I just forgot to put his actual wOBA in there.
At any rate, I don't even know a word to describe how hot he is at the moment.
I'll use a sports center phrase when they were actually good.....en fuego
