On a complete side note, I think it's funny that most of the people who like Folty's chances of being a good/great pitcher don't like Newcomb's and vice versa.

Newks problem seems to be arm side run where he losses a pitch. Folty misses all over the place on both sides of the plate.

The reason I like Newk more is his offspeed pitches are actually good even though his fastball is worse...but Newk definitely has wildness more often, so I understand people who prefer Folty

I just don't believe Folty can throw a strike when he wants. I feel like all of his corner pitches are by accident.

Basically this - So sometimes it looks like he is painting. But he is actually missing his spot by 2 feet.

I know there is a difference between control and command, but to be fair Mike does own a perfectly reasonable 3.0 BB/9 in his career.

As long as Washington has prime Scherzer and Strasburg they are going to be relevant. In my opinion, that’s the best 1-2 punch in baseball.
