His EV is concerning from an offensive side. I would cash out on him as soon as a team is fooled by his 'contact skills'

Not to put much stock in a May 1 game, but with fewer division games, each one becomes more magnified. Can't be giving games like this away.

Up 6-1 with Strider vs a BP game. Would be a terrible loss if we blew it. Worse than the Miami one which is still insane how they lost.

our pen is not good when Chavez has to come in and get meaningful outs. I was worried in spring and I might have been right. McHugh just pitched over his head last year and it fooled AA.

Are you new here? McHugh has been one of the best relievers in baseball for a few years now.

And the only reason you trust Iglesias is because he hasn’t pitched this year.

Grissom is perfectly acceptable as a fill in SS but I don’t see how there is anyway he’s an option full time.

The metrics hate him and the eye test is just as bad.

I am interested to know how the Braves view Grissom long term.

I think Grissom is probably still viewed as a guy with a fairly high floor offensively, but the book on him as he was coming up is that he probably couldn't stay at SS as he matured further physically. The question will revolve around whether he can hit enough to play 3B or LF and a be a plus offensive player there. I get the side-eye from some, but Grissom did get rushed and even though he had a hot first month at the big league level in 2022, the game is all about adjustments and he may need a little more time in AAA.
