Minter is still getting hammered out there. Gave up a HR to a very mediocre hitter and then had a 106.2 MPH rocket off the bat of Baty that had an xBA of .580.

Is Minter tipping his pitches?

I think it's possible. EOF suggested in the Athletic podcast the other day that it could be one small mechanical thing that many people or Minter himself wouldn't even notice, and it can make all the difference in a pitch being missed and crushed.

His velocity and spin and everything are apparently normal but he's been giving up rocket after rocket. This isn't a string of bad luck hits sneaking through, these are high xBA balls with high exit velocities.

Just watched the error by Grissom. How in the hell did Snitker not challenge that...? Don't even have to wait for your replay guy to check it out, the runner was no where near the bag and was sliding towards center not even reaching for the bag.

Better yet, how did the umpire miss that?

I love Wild Bill but we won that trade hands down.

Maybe.....Wild Bill is doing well and it looks like the Brewers catcher lab has his defense much better. It's still a SSS.

I think the Brewers won the trade based on what they gave up and what they got.

I think we got the best player, but we gave up more. I'd do the trade again, that is for sure. And the extension looks solid too.
