The Pirates will probably make a couple of stupid moves at the deadline, but I doubt they will move Reynolds.

The reason to target Frazier rather than Reynolds is to lessen the return they'd expect. They control Reynolds through his age 31 season without having to pay him more than what he'll get in arbitration - there's not much reason for them to trade him unless they get a pretty big overpay coming back.

Frazier is a LH bat that makes a lot of contact that can help keep innings going that they only control through next season.
