GDT: Braves @ Phillies 4/27 (No Camargo)

Julio pitched almost that entire inning with not throwing fastballs, just a few total and they were not more than 87 mph. Even if his fastball is off he was walking them throwing off-speed and the three run homer was off-speed too. If that was the game plan both Julio and Suzuki need to have their heads checked.

Lol Julio

Guys get used to this. He’s been too bad to trade and young enough to not give up on. Julio is going to be around for a few more years

Fastball 87
Slider 86
Change up 85

How does this happen to a guy as young as Julio? Can you think of somebody else whose lost his stuff as quickly as Julio did without injury?

Joe is clueless. Talking about Julio sitting at 91-92 previously. Definitely not sir. If you looked at analytics you might know that.

For the record this would be the Braves last year of control for Teheran had they not extended him.

As a result of the extension they are on hook for 11 million next year.

Someone with a better grasp of arbitration could maybe reply and tell us whether they’ve paid him more or less than they would have if he hadn’t been extended over the control years. I would strongly think more.

Granted he might well be worth 11 million next year but given the Braves youth and his career trajectory I’m not sure its the ideal scenario for him to stay in rotation or eat that money.
