Yeah, the long pauses are what get me. I think it does make life uncomfortable for the hitter though, so he's got that going for him. I definitely like the results tonight though.

I'll gladly take the paycheck. 8^) Seriously, watching the Mets broadcast, it looked like Bastardo's spike touched the bag minimally before Freeman's did but I like the way the call turned out.

Gant has got what it takes to stick as an MLB starter. FB 92-94, the Vulcan change-up, and a good CB. Hope he can keep it up and hold his spot.

Yeah, I didn't realize he had that much velocity. For some reason, I was thinking he was at 90

baseball is a weird game, you hope on guys like Newcomb, Simms and Blair and it can turn out that it's the Gants, Ellises and Whalens that turn out good....
