Bowman: The Braves preferred having a LHP (Allard) instead of a RHP (Soroka) face the Twins tomorrow. LHH hit .282 w/ a .750 OPS vs. Soroka during his strong 2019 season. With upcoming offdays, after tomorrow Braves can carry 4 starters until AS break. So, just a spot start for Allard

But Allard has been on a rehab assignment to Gwinnett. As such, he has to stay up, doesn't he? Or does he have options left?

Allard's an interesting choice. Could be a semi-bullpen game with the primary guys in the pen well-rested.

Twins are a very odd team. I knew the Braves would score runs, but I thought Ryan would pitch better. He, Gray, and Ober have been a pretty decent top-three. Twins Pythagorean shows them with a downward swing of 6 or 7 games. Hard to describe.

With the Braves only needing 4 starters between now and the all star break, it makes sense to keep Soroka in Gwinnett for another start or 2. Then after the break you can bring him up
